Dear Doctors: The International Society of Radiology has the pleasure of announcing the completion of our sponsored second world-wide virtual congress. It will be available to all radiologists in your society for free via the ISR website http://www.isradiology.org starting in early April. Please use your communications with your individual members to call this new virtual congress to their attention. The contents of this second virtual congress are all new. They include some 40 presentations from leading radiology teachers around the world. They also will include case studies and electronic posters. We still have time and space for additional posters and case studies, until 10 March, if any of your members are interested to submit them. For the first several weeks, the new virtual congress will provide links for viewers to communicate with the speakers. Then, changing the title to “virtual campus,” the contents will remain on the ISR website indefinitely. The contents of our first virtual congress, which we posted in December 2007, are still on our website, giving all of us plenty of opportunities to study both of them. I express our thanks to all those who contributed to this virtual congress. In particular, I acknowledge the leadership of Luis Donoso Bach of Barcelona, Spain, and Ricardo Garcia Monaco of Buenos Ares, Argentina, plus our technical support team at Tercer Termino for the production of both of our virtual congresses. Their earliest virtual congress was a Spanish language presentation which was adopted for distribution by the InterAmerican College of Radiology and is still available via www.radiologiavirtual.org. It is the hope and intention of the ISR that we can expand our electronic educational materials for all of your members over the next few years. This is a benefit which is supported by your dues and by your help in telling your members about our virtual congresses.
Hans Ringertz, M.D.
